Play and humor are central to my process. I don’t believe in a rigid distinction between work and play, the serious and the silly. Animism and an analog soul root me in small, everyday explorations that may serve as the seed of a larger project down the road. I enjoy playing with whatever may be on hand — salt, sand, a sweet potato — as well as experimenting with new techniques, such as lost wax glass casting.
